Our Solutions for Extending Pump Life Increase the Reliability of Your Facility
Estabrook is always looking at ways to increase MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) to increase the reliability of our customers’ facilities. One of the best ways that we have seen is to change from packing to a mechanical seal. We recently changed a Goulds 3175 pump from packing to a Chesterton 442 split seal.
Switching to the Split Seal increased the MTBF of changing the packing from 6 weeks to over 1 year of seal life.
